buddy corrupt output with lists > 128 elements

July 25, 2013 | 7:03 pm

Hello

Is there a limitation on list length using buddy?

In this patch I get question marks and random data after the 127th element.

(I see a similar forum question from 2008, but surely this hasn’t been an open issue since then?)

Thanks for any help
Jay

Thanks for the example. buddy is indeed limited to 128 items for now. The crash is be fixed for the next incremental.

Thanks Emmanuel.

If there’s some time-honored buddy alternative anyone knows about then I’d be grateful to know.

Something that takes a list in both left and right inlets, and once both have arrived, outputs the whole list from the right output, then the whole other list from the left output

I’ll come up with something – but if someone already has THE most elegant solution…

Note sure if those are the most elegant solutions but… Two versions, with coll and with zl. The zl solution is limited to list of 256 unless you set the zlmaxsize attribute
