buffer~ 4 voices

January 29, 2007 | 1:18 pm

hi

in a buffer~ one can record up to 4 voices, or tracks (with record~)

how would you do to record one track at a time (without earesing the
previously recorded tracks) ???

trying to do so since yesterday………

so far either i am missing some very obvious thing, or either it is
impossible…..

thanks

couldn’t you use record with just 1 channel representing the one you want to record.. or couldn’t you also just have separate buffers, rather then 4 channel buffers?

__I could of course have 4 buffers but the idea was to try with a
multi-channel buffer

__having different record~ sounds great, but i don’t find how to
record on channel 2 only – when i use a [record~ mybuffer 3000 2]
object and send something to channel 2 only, it records (silence)
also on channel 1
I doubt it is possible to make a record~ recording only on channel 2……

will try poke~
