i've been working on a few projects lately where i'm printing data iteratively to the max window

when i come to clear this data, max crashes

I'm having the same problem. It seems to occur when clearing a large amount of data while still printing new lines to the Max window

i got the same problem since the first version of max 5.

I can't reproduce that with the patch bellow:

on this forum, silence often means you're right...

No crash here with your patch, but sometimes It takes longtime to earse max listener content, yes.

i actually call a crash the fact that max hangs for more than 5 minutes. i've have to force quit.
