Thanks for the report. Both of this issues have been fixed for the next incremental.

I still (6.0.5) get the second error. Is a rectangular shape supported for nodes? Or is it just not possible for some elementary reason which I did not comprehend yet? 

It didn't quite make the cut for 6.0.5, but will hopefully be in the next update.

any news on the matter? it would still be a desirable feature. :)
