bug with jit.cellblock ?

This looks like a bug to me. Can someone confirm/offer a solution?
The object is to select a row of jit.cellblock using a midi input. Before playing a note, type 0-2 in the box and it’s fine.
Play a middle c [or 61,62] and its nighty-night.
Any ideas?

What does nighty-night mean? It works as expected here…

Also, if you have a strange behaviour, it can’t be the jit.cellblock, as
there is no difference in the messages between the number box and midi
input…

As a sidenote, there is no need to set the mode with every number. A
[loadmess mode selmode 3] should be fine…

Thanks Stefan,
Nighty-night means ‘lights out’, or ‘lamp shade time’ or ‘sudden
crash without any good reason’ – consistently.

Of course, I intend to change the direction of the selection from
rows to columns based on the input [certainly I've asked stupid
questions before, but I'm not that thick. Really, I'm not].

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will send a crash report to someone.
I wouldn’t have bothered the list if I had not tried everything first
‘docs, online search, upgrade max, trash prefs, repair permissions, etc.
MIDI keyboard input works for everything else. And yes, it is
incredibly strange that the number box is fine while the keyboard
causes the crash.

Just bad mojo here at the hermitage, I guess. I will keep at it.

Thanks for the reply,
dlbond

If you are on Mac, a crash report could tell something, you might send
it to support. It seems Midi is triggering the crash, I don’t see any
connection to the jit.cellblock but who knows…

Your patch at least doesn’t crash here…

Maybe, but there is also a real reason for your problem, its good to
find out why…

Good luck…
