Bug with soundflower and selecting input source

Hi all,

When selecting soundflower (16 channel) and my firewire interface as an input source, max crashes when the audio is turned on.

I really think this needs to be addressed by cycling74, how do I notify them oficially?
In the mean time can anyone think of a work around?

I want to have the input from my interface going into max and then sent to my DAW (logic).

Maybe you should try with jack:

I always found it more reliable than soundflower but I guess it’s just my opinion ,)

Yes I have a recent version but not the one that only runs on OSX 10.6

I had this problem before I updated soundflower though!

I’ll try jack. It seems like a downside to soundflower is that you cannot associate a physical input with a channel in soundflower. If you want audio from max recorded into your DAW you cannot simultaneously record from the interface.
