April 11, 2007 | 1:24 pm

Hi again,

Back with a new episode of "bpatcher" ;)

Description:
The offset message is not processed when bpatcher is hidden.

Expected results:
Offset should be processed regardless of the hidden state of bpatcher.

Steps to reproduce:

—- save as ‘inside’:

#N thispatcher;
#Q end;
#P newobj 24 50 61 196617 thispatcher;
#P newex 24 25 42 196617 r move;
#P connect 0 0 1 0;

—- save as anything:

#P comment 99 78 25 196617 5);
#P message 35 78 61 196617 offset 60 0;
#P comment 213 57 25 196617 4);
#P comment 99 57 25 196617 3);
#P comment 99 36 25 196617 1);
#P message 35 57 61 196617 offset 60 0;
#P message 35 36 55 196617 offset 0 0;
#P bpatcher 262 34 100 100 60 0 inside 1;
#P objectname bp;
#P message 135 57 76 196617 script show bp;
#P message 135 36 71 196617 script hide bp;
#P newex 35 100 42 196617 s move;
#N thispatcher;
#Q end;
#P newobj 135 100 61 196617 thispatcher;
#P comment 209 36 25 196617 2);
#P connect 11 0 2 0;
#P connect 6 0 2 0;
#P connect 7 0 2 0;
#P connect 3 0 1 0;
#P connect 4 0 1 0;

I can confirm this.

I will log it, and we shall have a look at it. I recommend trying to find a workaround for this one though.

Thanks, it is very valueable if someone from cycling confirms a bugreport. It can take a real effort to trace and report a bug properly (don’t forget that in first instance it is not clear what is going on!) and it’s good to know that this effort leads to something and is appreciated.

So although I can imagine that it’s no fun, even if there is a workaround possible, please keep confirming! It makes Cycling stand out compared to the Apples, Steinbergs, in fact virtually any other software company I know of.

Thanks,
Mattijs
