Steps to reproduce:

1) create a new numbox
2) right-click the numbox, choose color, choose a color.
3) right-click the numbox, choose color, set it back to default grey
4) open the numbox inspector, set background color to your favorite color (make sure it is -exactly- the color you like most)
5) lock the patcher: numbox background is back to grey

There must be some cached info somewhere. At any rate once you save, close, and reopen your patch you should be able to set the background color again.

I guess that’s a confirmation, thanks Chris. Another workaround of course is to just create a new numbox.

It’s only a slight glitch but can be, let’s say, not very inspiring.
