know how to create an application/collective. However how do you change what is in the program? Am having trouble making sure that the "program" (or collective) which I'm creating is in presentation mode, and having trouble adding in other things such as options etc. How do I combat this?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,

For Presentation mode, you need to select 'presentation mode' in the patcher inspector (Right click on the patcher(not on an object), and select 'patcher inspector'. all subpatchers you want in presentation mode also will need this.

I don't think I explained that very well. I know how to put it into presentation mode when working on the patch. However when I build a collective, after opening it (the collective program I have made) even if I put the patch into presentation mode before creating it; it looks like the patch in "patching" mode, not presentation mode. Is that any clearer?

right, the patcher options that i mentioned will set how it opens by default

you will see the option "Open in Presentation Mode" . You'll want to check that.
