I have to admit I am having more trouble figuring out how to design the interface with the functions imagined, than designing music, audio, sound engines in MAX.

I am designing a compositional standalone application and my question is very simple. 

What I am trying to do is have picture buttons with simple animated behavior upon clicking and with a function of being sound objects playing the correspondent sound file.

I have tried pictctrl because of the animation option, but the problem is that it can not trigger sound file to be played (I am loading the sound files from sfplay with a long preload message of 40 sound files).

As of now I have a message box with a ubutton that triggers assigned number which is then sent to the preload message of sfplay so that the corresponding sound file is played. The number message is also sent to fpic displaying the correspondent picture file.

The other question is concerned with drag and drop. I want to enable the user to choose from the sound objects, let's say 10 and drag them on a timeline.(It gets complicated:)))
