I have a umenu/live.menu that loads all track names as menu items.

I also have the same for devices in tracks.

If I select a device with the umenu and then save the project, ableton will remember the selected umenu device.

However, if I add other tracks, or devices, the umenu cannot recall the umenu device .

Is there something im doing wrong here? Do I need to store into coll or pattr? Do I need to do this on project save or something?

I cannot figure out how to save/recall a umenu/live.menu

If you add/change something ID numbers of all objects (track, clips, devices ect.) are changed. So if you want to achieve something by id you'll not succeed. Paste your patch, maybe we can figure it out.
