Can't open, bad header

June 30, 2006 | 12:15 pm

Hi,

opening a max patcher shows in max window

error: patchername: can’t open, bad header.

Is there any possibility to repair the file?

Finder has no problem to copy the file.

This usually means that the file has the wrong type — that it’s
actually a text patcher, but has been typed as a binary one. Try
opening the file "as text" in Max and resaving.

Good idea.
I could not open the file with MAXMSP as text, but could open with TextEdit.
And I found this: the student who worked at the patcher saved the
pattrstorage file at the patcher name!
