I was working on a patch when Max 5 decided to crash and burn. I was not able to reopen the patch after that, my computer just stalled. Now I can’t open any patch with Max 5. I’ve tried reinstalling the latest version of Max twice after uninstalling everything with AppZapper. No joy. Max 5 just refuses to open. Any ideas? I’ve been using a trial of Max 6 in the mean time which is working fine.

Mac running Mountian Lion (problem still existed on Lion)

Is there another way of completely uninstalling Max 5 including all preference files etc other than AppZapper- manually for example? I really need this to get sorted soon, haven’t got a clue why its been fried this bad!

Okay, I’ve trashed the preference files (after I found them, apple in their eternal wisdom have now made user/preference files invisible in 10.8!) but its not made a damn bit of difference, spiber, how did you get round this?
