Capacitive Sensors + arduino + to trigger samples & light leds?

October 31, 2012 | 6:59 am

Hi there,
iam looking to find a way to get an arduino to trigger some audio clips
iam using this Breakout Board (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9695)
together with a arduino mega

what i want to do is set up a heap of Capacitive touch Sensors to trigger some samples of audio.

i was looking at using Maxuino (http://www.maxuino.org)
but I am unable to map the input from the arduino to the clips?
& there doesn’t seem to be much in the ways of documentation

am i able to do this with max msp? or should i be looking at pure data?

are there any patches or any one out there that could point me in the right direction?

many thanks in advance

Hi
how far advanced is your excursion into this project idea? Have you got this far yet? :

I’m not familiar with the shifting and interrupt method used for this breakout board and associated library, but if you have got your sensors working in Arduino correctly (as in the demo video above) I might be able to help you hack the included code to get data into Max, without using Maxuino.
