November 12, 2007 | 7:24 pm

dear all, is it possible to capture a particles system as texture and render it on something else..rigth now i can’t search the archive since the new ’74 site search engine doesn’t work here, i can’t type anything in it (os tiger firefox 2.0.0.9)
any help greatly appreciated

Well,
Whatever object is drawing the particle system to screen should have
its @capture attribute set to get the particles to a texture. If
you’re rendering with jit.gl.render, I would recommend switching to
jit.gl.mesh for capturing as jit.gl.render’s role as texture and
window renderer can get confused if you set its @capture attribute.

this one’s trickier. Take a look at converting the drawing subpatch
to use jit.gl.mutiple and use its capture attribute.
