here is one of the reasons why i have never used filtergraph until now.

could anyone explain the reason for this behavior?

I have no idea what issue you are talking about…

(Your patch works nicely, but I don’t know what you want to do with it….)

which means that it is eventually a maxmsp v <4.1 bug only?

you are right it cant be the patch .. this is taken from the helpfile.

as soon as i have 3 filters below 500 HZ it calculates bullshit as if there is a denormal data problem.

it also occurs with 6 filters below 1500Hz or with 20 filters below 15 kHz – the more data is merged, the worse the display gets.
