Hi everyone,

im almost finishing a project and everything was working after a little
debuging,

suddengly appeared this on the max window:

*warning:fiddle~:will downsample imput by 2

id been checking and i didnt touch any fiddle related part on the patch and
everything seems to work properly,

is that message dangerous?

i presume it’s just letting u know that it is downsampling the processing of fiddle (44.1khz / 2 = 22.05khz). whether or not this is “dangerous” depends on what sounds you are analysing. if u want it to remain accurate whilst tracking very frequencies then it may be a problem… (it might report the octave below or something like that)

i’m not best placed to answer the inner workings of fiddle~, but i think it might have something to do with nyquist sampling law.
