channel number info from buffer

September 28, 2006 | 10:56 pm

hello,

is it possible to get channel info from a soundfile loaded into a buffer?
i really like the feature with sfinfo that reports the number of channels on a soundfile loaded into an sfplay, but info~ doesn’t seem to offer this feature. are there any other methods?

thanks,

kenichi

Think in terms of available information. If you set the channel number
of the buffer with an argument, then you know it already, its bound to
its name. If you fill the buffer with a file via a replace message and
possibly change the number of channels, you can use sfinfo~ to get this
information as well.
