check for a message

I work with c74 the iphone app to make a connection between max and the iphone.
If i send a sound file then it sens a message back to max to tell:

soundID 1

(else it's 0), how can i check for it with code?

Also i can set gps on, then i receive messages like:
c74: gps 5.910074 162.798309 51.988766 10. 34.34433
c74: gps 5.910051 123.424767 51.988781 10. 33.656818
c74: gps 5.909274 100. 51.988888 190. 0.
c74: gps 5.909274 100. 51.988888 190. 0.

how can i grab those values?

off the top of my head, it’s probably something like:

[route SoundID] to [if $i1 == 1 then bang] or [if $i1 ==1 then $i1 else 0]

Something like that depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

[route testSound] –> [sel 0 1] works too

and for GPS:

[route gps] –> [unpack f f f f f]

(5 floats in a list)
