Clocker~ stability issues?

May 14, 2007 | 6:41 pm

Hi guys,
I am looking for an object that will trigger a bang at a certain event in an audio file. I have tried using clocker attached to a select object but this has proven to be unstable and does not trigger the event every time. Is there a more accurate way to achieve this?

Check the "Overdrive" item in option menu for a clocker stability.
(do we have a clocker tilde ??)

Thanks derrickgiscloux that may have fixed it. I put the tilde in the post by accident sorry about that. What I am attempting to do is use clocker combined with a select object in order to trigger playback of a second audio file when the first reaches a predefined number of seconds. Is there a more stable way of doing this as I fear my solution may be a round about way of achieving my goal.

[sfplay~] has an optionnal output which gives the current position in
the file (check the help file, especially the [p newFeatures] patcher).
Compare this value with the position you’re waiting for.

Or put a [delay a_predefined_number_of_seconds] between what starts the
first file and what starts the second file.
