Can closebang help do a final activation of servos so that they are left in a certain position whenever the patcher is closed?

I have closebang all set up and working perfectly in Max to do exactly what I want, but on closebang (patcher/window close) the servo is not responding to the final sent data. The patcher shows that closebang activated everything it should have, but the servo just does not actually do it. I have tried with both internal power and external power supplies to the arduino. Servo works perfectly in all other scenarios.

What can I do to make sure a final closebang pwm value is acted on by the servo?

Because closebang does not provide much time to carry out final functions, I set up an extra message box as close to the servo output as possible (right before Maxuino) with the pwm info, and trigger it directly with closebang instead of the normal (longer) route in my patch. The patch was actually closing before the message would make it to the servo.
