[coll] BUG

Hi

Today, starting a new patch, with no object present, i clicked twice to create a new object and typed: coll a

The new coll object was created with no problem, but when i've opened the coll to add some info inside, I could see that it was some strange info inside. So new coll, on a new patch, with no other object and the coll has inside the next sentence: p^88 Z88_88.

You can allways download the image because this is realy strange.

When I've changed that sentence to Ex.: player1, play stop pause resume; and exit, everything work OK, but this happens allways with empty colls.... I can send an (clear) at loadbang but it's not the most elegant way!

Note: Max50.6 (37726) windows :: My PC was formated two days ago (I allway do that with new versions of software) and there was no problem instaling windows or drivers.

Have this happen with someone? or is only an "display" problem and the coll object is empty?

And no!! there are no "a" file with that info inside!

Thanks!

I've had the same problem since updating to 5.06 on a mac os x. type coll into an object box, double-click, theres something there-- it was actually a smiley emoticon-- thought it must have been a c74 programmer's joke.

I am also seeing this behavior under Windows XP with MAX 5.0.6 (37726). Each time the edit window is opened, a small number of garbage characters appear. The garbage is different each time.

This has been reported to Cycling and I believe they are working on it...
