I realise this is probably pretty simple stuff but I've searched the forums and can't quite find what I'm looking for. I want my coll to store the in coming number as a new instance whenever the spacebar is pressed.

In my main patch I'm using a video rather than a counter and I wan't the coll to remember certain points within the video for me.

You're on the right track. You just need to combine the incoming number with an index number that tells coll where to store it. Like this:
