Hello, I'm working on a project where I need to create a patch that would will be fed with a video signal, the patch would then analyze the colors into that video to trigger synth pads to create some sort of ambient soundscape.

I have no idea where to start as I mainly used Max 6 to create visuals that would be triggered by sound. Any help?

I found that video on youtube where a guy did this, but no link to the patch, only a screenshot of the actual thing. Here it is. I'd just need to replace the color thingy with a video feed.
