April 22, 2008 | 7:08 pm

hi
i want to use a hand held LED that will be picked up by a camera and tracked, and i want it’s path to be traced out across the screen. but not a permanent trace. the kind of effect i’m looking for is is a like a comet tail.
any help would be much appreciated

look at the jitter tutorials. there is jit.findbounds which does color tracking and then there is a "comet trail" example which uses feedback, I think. Can’t remember which tutorials they are but that’s where I would start.

convert your input matrrix to float32 and use jit.slide.
