I'm trying to have a communication between max and ableton for recording and setting the BMP of the sequencer.

I'm getting and sending audio-signal via the jack-driver.

But I'd also like to take advantage of rewire, cause then I could easily send the BPM to ableton with the hostcontrol~ object.

So it seems that I need two instances of MAX runtime with different audio-drivers ("ad_rewire" and "asio_jack") that can communicate between each other (maybe via send/receive).

Is that possible? Or do you have another solution for me?

though i still think i would have preferred a patchable pluggo runtime which would have worked in any host program, like it works for bidule or tassman.
