composite a cell like dividing video

hi guys! first time here so be gentle :)

im trying to create sort of a cell dividing effect. i want to capture 10 sec of video (with matrixset because thats what i know) and play them back on a larger matrix in a loop. i want the video to duplicate itself on each repeat and offset to the side. i was able to do it with xfade and another matrixset but i cant find a way to move it in the bigger matrix.
te idea is to start small and fill the whole screen at the end.
any idea will be really helpful (and will save my ass :))
