I have looked all over and cannot figure out if it is possible to make a compound substitution using regexp. I am looking to substitute two different characters, each with their own string, simultaneously.

For example, if I were to take a string and substitute all 'X' with 'Y' and simultaneously substitute all 'Y' with 'X'. If I were to daisy chain regexp objects I would not have a simultaneous update and end up with all 'X's.

Is there a way to do this with one regexp object?
