Connecting a DMX interface with MAX/MSP

Hi All!

I have just posted this in the Jitter forum to no evade so I thought id try it here:

I recently purchased a ‘home-made’ dmx interface from a small French company ( http://www.concept-fr.net/index.php ).

It has recently come to my attention that it is possible to use DMX devices with Max/MSP Jitter. Could anyone give me some advice about connecting my DMX interface with Max/MSP Jitter? I know about the enntec drivers but im not sure if they will work with my interface.

Many Thanks,

SF

whether it is possible to control your dmx device from Max or not
completely depends on how Max can talk to the box you bought.
What is it ? is it USB ? UDP over ethernet ? TCP/IP ? parallel ports ?
what protocol ?

please give us some information..

ciao,

Joost.

I have tested the port and interface with other software (Lightjockey) and it works fine.

Is there anyway of testing it in max/msp?

Thanks.
