Connecting Oxygen Keyboard and padKontrrol

April 12, 2012 | 5:06 am

Hello All,

I am a legacy Max user and mostly used version 4. I have 5 now, but haven’t used Max in a few years. Unfortunately, I think the the version change and idle time has not help in retaining my patch Skill :)

I am trying to connect my Oxygen 49 Keyboard and Korg padKontrol into Max via USB. From what I remember, there was nothing really to it. You just connect them and then use the midiin to grab your data. However, I seem to be having a bit of a challenge doing that.

When I check out my Audio MIDI setup, all I see is my external Line 6 Audio box and the standard Microsoft synthesizer. IS there something extra I have to do to make these devices view-able to Max or am I just completely mistaken about how to connect these devices?

Are you on windows ? anyway, as on osx it hasn’t changed, it shouldn’t have on Windows. As far as i know, if your max can’t recognize your keyboard, it’s because it lacks a driver maybe, or anyway isn’t recognized by your system.

I am on windows 7. I really don’t think it’s a driver issue since my the Korg and the Oxygen both were automatically recognized. I also installed the drivers manually for good measure, but still no success.

Any other settings I could be missing?
