This seems like it should be pretty simple, but I've searched the

forum and can't find what I'm looking for. I want to be able to have

an image stay on the screen (like feedback), but then disappear after

a time that I've specified and in the order that it was first put into

If that wasn't clear enough, if someone walks past a camera, you see

their feedback trail, and then it disappears after the time I've

specified. The part where they first entered the shot disappears

slowly until all of the feedback is gone.

I see people do this all the time, and I've looked at all the example

patches, but haven't found quite what I was looking for. If I've

overlooked something obvious, I apologize. Any help would be really

if I understand you correctly, what you want is "video delay" and not necessarily smearing- in that case, the matrixset delay (look in examples>jitter>video>matrix) patch in the examples seems to be what you need.
