I've just been getting started learning MaxMSP and Jitter and I'm completely blown away by what is possible.

In order to keep focussed, I've come up with a rather insanely ambitious but exciting project.

I have a few Sony D70-P robo-cams. When we got them, we had some pretty crummy software that controlled them from a PC via a USB to serial interface.

I'd really like to have a crack at doing this from within Max. I'd love to chat to anyone who has done this, or has any resources for how to go about it.

Also, does anyone have any idea how I could clone myself, so I could stay at home all day and work on Max, while the other me goes to work?

I'm quick to jump in here, as I've seen this done, and a similar topic has popped up on this forum fairly recently (but damned if I can find it again).

This is in no way to suggest that you don't know how to web-search.....but here's some stuff that you'll either know or appreciate. I haven't ever 'done' digital/PWM OUT in any great depth with Arduino, but I have seen remote camera control using it; I'm sure there are other platforms allowing such control, but, as Neo sez "I know Arduino..." ;).

Funnily enough, a friend of mine was looking at the Arduino stuff for a different project and was raving about it.
