COSM sounds.

COSM sounds.

Hi, sorry for the noob question here everyone but i have been working with the cosm objects (Max 5 MBP snow leopard) and have been exploring the spatial.phases patch. I want to be able to change the sounds that each object makes and possibly change its appearance. I was wondering if this has to be done in the sound-object patcher and if its possible to insert custom .wav or .aif files for each object?

I have also heard that it doesn’t work with max 6 which is a shame as it would be cool to upgrade the visuals with some of the new jitter stuff…

Any insight on these points would be great – I have pasted the patch I have been looking at.

Thanks guys.

Hey Jason,

I gave your patch a try, very cool. I am running Max6 on 10.7,
seems to work fine.

Thanks Anthony, the patch is simply a helpfile from these good people – http://www.allosphere.ucsb.edu/cosm/. Good to know it’s all working on Max 6. If anyone has any idea how I might go about changing the sounds the objects in space ‘use’ into custom sound files that would be incredible.
