Bevor the fresh installation everything worked fine on the same setup.
When you open a patch with OpenGl Max is realy slow and you have the following information in the Max window:

jit.gl.render: couldn`t make OpenGL window on foo
jit.gl.context: using software renderer.
jit.gl.context: SetPixelFormat failed – 87

This happens with every patch.
For any hint for solving the problem I’m grateful.

To solve this i reverted back to catalyst 10.4 drivers. Maybe with your card even 10.5 or 10.6 will work…

new catalyst 10.8 will be released soon, hope they work well with max

I installed them and they work nicely with my 5750 and max 5.1.4. I wasn’t able to run max with any driver from version 10.5 to 10.7

As you wrote, 10.5 to 10.7 didn`t work. 10.8 is doing the job quite good.
