Attached is a max patcher that hardcrashes max after approximately 10-15 seconds of operation on my system (win7 x64 ult, max 5.1). It's meant to be driven by ms kinect, the mousestate is included in the main patch for testing purposes.

Moving the qmetro around (changing the timer or placing it in another location)_seems_ to help, but no total stability yet. The 6 runtime also seems to like it better, however I don;t want to find out it'll still crash after half an hour of operation.

Please take a look and make useful suggestions if you can. Even inability to replicate the crash on other platforms would be very informative.
