create sdif files from command line?

I’m wondering if there’s an app for OS X that can create sdif files from aiffs, using the command line? I can use SPEAR, but I’ve got loads of files to convert/analyze, and I’d like to be able to script the conversions, if possible. A command line version of SPEAR would be perfect, but it doesn’t seem to exist. My aiff file names contain information about fundamental frequency, and I’d like to use this info as a command line argument. Ideally, I’d just write a shell script to extract the fundamental info and run through all my files, exporting them to sdifs.

Anybody know of anything like this? Or maybe a set of java classes that can do sdif analysis and export?
