I have a [pict] object that follows the mouse cursor and my [hover[ object on the patcher does not fire because the mouse does not actually hover over other objects. Moving the mouse back and forth shows the issue clearly.

Is there a way to make the [pict] object not register for mouse events?

Note #1: ignore the flickering of the image, that is bad logic in my coding. I just need to fix the image.

Note #2: The cursor will not follow the mouse properly if you have any other max windows up. It takes the mouse position relative to the front most window.
