I'm getting ready to release a very complicated max patch as a standalone and want to create an error log text file that users can email to me if (when!) something goes wrong. I got quite far with error_subscribe (presumably what the error object uses), but the trouble is that the object isn't necessarily initialised first so most of the errors are not captured (ie those at start up - which are usually the ones that are most crucial to working out what's going wrong).
