Creating multiple channel soundfiles, windows

September 29, 2006 | 9:41 pm

Does anyone know of a handy util or software (batch process would be great!= that lets me join mono soundfiles to multiple channel soundfiles for easy surround playback with sfplay~ or is making a patch to do it the only way?

Have been looking for a while but not found anything suitable.

Thank you

Thor

Hi,

SoundFilesMerger does that (it’s just a Max standalone application,
which uses more or less sfplay~ and sfrecord~). I’m currently
finishing a completely new version based on Shea Ako’s aiffpack and
libsndfile. I’ve only the licence questions to solve before releasing
it. This should be available on Monday…

On both Win XP and Mac OSX there’s Richard Dobson’s MC Tools. You can
get them at:
