It is part of FFTease from Eric Lyon.

This is a new object in version 4.6 which I did not install yet.

BTW, I found an old OS9 version of FFTease. It was at IRCAM CD under
“Public MSP”.

hehe, okay, it seems that it is a crossover filter,
so maybe i am going to “replace” it with its precedessor
called [110.crossover~] from the 110.2004 library. :P

cross~ has been renamed crossx~ to avoid this name clash. When I come up with an FFTease prefix I like, I’ll use that to avoid future name clashes.

This URL is deprecated. The most current one is:

The obvious one would be ‘fft.’ but that’s perhaps dull and suggests
more plain-vanilla Fourier Transform processing.

I would be inclined to suggest something like ‘fftt.’ (pronounced Ef-
Ef-Tees.) But you and Chris have got to come up with something y’all
like.

If thats too many letters, maybe fts, pronounced ftease could do it…
Don’t know if it exists already, maybe its time to include a list of
prefixes in use to Maxobjects? …

http://www.maxprefixes.com?

my suggestion is “ffte.” – “ffts.” sounds like the plural to “fft”.

or what about “115.”?

This one sounds great.
Or there is always the traditional initials, “el.”
