Cumbersome way to deal with jit.openni detecting people leaving the scene

March 8, 2014 | 5:07 am

Hi folks,

I realized that the osc data coming out of the 5th jit.openni output is unreliable when it comes to detecting on the spot when people are leaving the scene, I tried to figure out new ways to output this data. So I created the following patch that works as it detects when people enter or leave the scene. But I find it very cumbersome as it also lowers the fps.

Do you maybe know if I can do the same thing with different objects or in different ways so that it won’t be that slow?

Thank you so much for looking into this!

PS: The osc data coming out of the 5th jit.openni output is unreliable because it announces that it stopped detecting a specific person only after a few seconds and not right away.
