cycle for symbols

Does anyone knows an object that works like cycle but with symbols?

symbols?

try [cycle~] — [snapshot~ 20] — [tosymbol]

(and make sure to look at the help file for snapshot~)

but why symbols??? that doesn’t make much sense to me, on its own.

why dont you just make a menu object with those symbols populating it,
and then send numbers?

ej.cycle does that, but you can make simple abstraction with a
counter and a gate.

I know it is quite simple to do but why? i mean, life is short and
that’s quite a simple operation that surely had already been solved.

jit.cycle works with symbols, if you have jitter.

I’m sure ej.cycle is less efficient than the same process in
abstraction. So for performance reasons, I’ll prefer to do that in
patch as bellow, or even better, use jit.cycle (Thanks Jeremy, I
forgot that one…).
