Cycling74 – thank you for your painless copy protection scheme

I just decided to replace both drives in my laptop with SSDs as a precaution against the risk of damage from loud bass sounds.

After doing the replacement (which took a total of 15 minutes, by the way), Max just kept working, no need to do any new authorization.

SSDs are unreliable as hell, now you have something to worry about.

@cappy: Can you please elaborate on that- I have strange freezes since a while and suspect my (new) ssd…

Yes, I’d like to see supporting evidence for this too. It’s not too late for me to put my old drives back but from what I’ve read so far, the issues (at least with the SSDs that I bought) seem to have been with older firmware.
