Hello, I'm building an app from maxmsp and need the user to be able to save their data in a coll or text file that coll can read. Seems the mxf collective that is part of the app has the coll text file stored inside it so I can't save new data in there. I can't find a way to exclude that file from the mxf and use the file in the resources folder instead.

I've tried just having the coll data stored with the patch but I don't think I can save a patch from an app, so I'm really stymied.

Anyone got an idea how to get around this? If only I could exclude the text file from the mxf, and have the app read and write that, all would be hunky dory. Doesn't seem like a big deal but damned if I can find a way to do either.

beside other solutions that may be much more suited (but i dont know them) i can think of ,not embedding 

 with the patcher but store/recall coll file from app directory (as a external file to load) . would that work for you ? u can retrieve current path with sending message
