Date based modulation

June 29, 2009 | 1:42 pm

Hi friends of electronic pleasure,

May I ask you for help to give us some hints and possible ways for a solution.

We want to make a sound system which is depending on time of the tides (more info about the project: http://www.akitay.net/deplayer/ilot.php)

We have a timetable with specific time points of the high and low tides during a day. This specific date and time points should trigger frequence modulations and volume.

My question is how to work with specific date datas (as we got the date object to get these requests out) and how to control modulation parameters with it.

Concrete:

1.Juli

02:55 Low tide maximum >> change modulation, volume up

09:39 High tide maximum >> change modulation, volume down

18:10 Low tide maximum >> change modulation, volume up

22:15 High tide maximum >> change modulation, volume down

There is nice gafical diagram, which represents our idea:

Thanks much
Regards
Anja

Hi Akita,

have a look to the date-object, e.g.:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

you can extend the coll for more days , or do a patch with a coll for everyday. Then bang the modulation you’de like to start and change the volume e.g. with the line-object…
hope this helps.

Dear _A,

Thanks too much for your prompt patch, very generous. Ye cool, we implemented your patch, and all works fine. I would like to mention you in the project.

Tell me when you need sounds, maybe you would like some of mine : )

Best wishes
Akita

Dear Akita,

I’m happy it works for you, you can send me your mail-address ( contact on the website does not work…)
