Hello, I'm trying to detect and convert the strongest frequency point of input vocal to floating numbers.

With FFT meter or EQ of DAW, I can see the strongest point of frequency moves even when my pitch changes in a semitone (please see the attached screen shot).

My goal is to visualize (and project on screen) vocal energy in real-time from it's volume and frequency. Using the vocal's volume was quite straight forward, but I got stuck in obtaining practical numeric data from vocal frequency.

I experimented with pftt object, but it is still far from what I want to do, as my patch doesn't have the feature to detect the strongest frequency point.

(Even my patch does not work properly with cycle wave sound, as I could not separate frequency range clearly enough. The second lowest range responds to the frequency in the third lowest range too, which ideally should not.)

I'd appreciate much for your any advice or thoughts.

Does anyone know how to open them with the latest Max?

I've found that I just needed to google "spectrum analyser max msp".
Now I am trying out Zsa.descriptors, and trying to find a way to load Tristan's external patches.
