detonate not working

somethings up with my detonate here and I am not sure what is up. It will not play a midi when I hit start.

Detonate doesn’t really play itself. "start" causes it to send out the amount of time till then next event. You have to drive it yourself, like:

This is opaquely explained in the detonate_example subpatch in the help file.

that makes sense. I had that same kind of thing in another patch of mine I pulled this from but didn’t think about that part of it.
