Hi, is there a way to have auto compile off as standard. I have a patch with a few gen~ subpatches in it and have to open them and click the auto compile off button every time I reload the master patch to save on CPU.

There isn't a way to do this, but I've logged a feature request for it since it is a good idea.

Thanks, if I save the patch with auto-compile off will it be off next time I load up?

However, turning auto-compile off won't make the patchers run any faster (it will just prevent Gen from re-compiling the patcher when you edit it). Nor will it make it any faster to open the patchers: Gen patchers are always compiled when first opened.

Disable auto compile as standard.
