Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm still learning Max/MSP.

I have been displaying a continuous controller using sig~ and scope~ in my patches.

unfortunately this means I have to start DSP/audio to make the patch work, which sometimes interferes with other software wanting to open the same audio device, etc.

is there a widget in Max/MSP similar to the signal scope but for controllers or is there an easy way to do this?

I usually use a multislider for this - from one slider to however  
many controllers you want to monitor.

If you're looking to approximate scope~, choose one of the "scroll" slider styles for the multislider: point scroll, line scroll, rev point scroll, rev line scroll.

If your controller only sends out data when it changes, you may want to use a metro to bang a number box between your controller and the multislider.
