I am a bit frustrated, I have these weird problems with the poly~ object complex patches that are really hard to reproduce and report (and probably hard to fix as well). And with this post I wonder if I am the only one or that there are more among you that are experiencing similar problems.

the problems I have are:
1. the routing of nested poly~s can be messed up, it is possible that the signal of a poly placed inside a poly can come out of the outlets of it’s parent poly for no apparent reason
2. when this happens the cpu rises until the maximum, upon checking with the capture object it appears that it appears that zeros are ADDED to the signal (probably increasing the amount of signal vectors, thus resulting in higher cpu usage)
3. it is possible that audiosignals suddenly are not routed into the poly~ even though other signals inside that poly~ work fine (the poly is not muted)

these problems happen on different computers (only tested on macs with intel chips), and do happen without using the multithread options. The frequency these problems occur differ per computer.

as already said: I am curious if I am the only one…

I’ve had problems with using scripting within a poly~ where it can’t “find” the abstraction that it is supposed to create, even though it is in the same folder. But I don’t think this has happened to me in Max 5 yet. I don’t think I’ve experienced your issues, except possibly the third one.
